The Dense Pine Sanctuary & Black Springs of Upper Dir
Kumrat is renowned for its vast, towering deodar pine forest which remains so dense that sunlight barely touches the forest floor. Flowing through this cathedral of trees is the crystal-clear Panjkora River, famous for its cold-water trout, dramatic wooden bridges, and bubbling Kala Chashma (Black Springs).
💡 Must Experience: Camp directly beneath the towering canopy of giant cedars, visit the 150-year-old wooden mosque at Thal carved with tribal motifs, and trek alongside the roaring river.
